This is some funky shot action from Tiffy's camera - we're all waving our hands about going 'what are you doing - take the pics!' This was after a bottle of tequila and vodka. Before we headed out to the party...ALOHA!

I'm so going back next year! I can't believe it's taken me so many years to get my act together and start doing OC. My friend Kim was trying for years to get me to try it out. Anyhow never too late! There's a women's golden masters' category for over 55. So i think i've got a few more years left in me. So much to learn about steering and waves, and picking lines and technique and training in general. Only 3 months to go until Molokai, so we're having 1 week of rest and then going hard in training. We are attempting to enforce a one bikini policy – when we were at the world champs, the Chinese Womens Team all had the same haircut and body type. We decided that we are going to try a one-bikini one-body policy HAHA.

Aloha!

See those hot chicks. They're from my team. See those hot tops. They were made from my blood, sweat and jeers. Mel, Kait, Kait's Mum and mum gorgeous mum helped to hand cut and hand stitch flowers on all 20+ party tops for our hot girls. Just ignore the beer stain on the bottom of my top...

Day 4 - 42km marathon race. This was the big one - 4 hours. The storm clouds appeared and the wind picked up. It was pretty scary and exciting! I was in the start crew and it was amazing with all the crews and boats and chopper. Ed our smart steerer pushed us through the Dent Passage with precision and we smacked up and down on the waves for a while but got through the shittty water pretty quick. As soon as I got back into the support boat i started to feel abit iffy. i was watching Betty going comatose trying to stop herself gettign seasick, and then i got seasick. Hurled 3 times during the race, it was great. No really the race was great, it was an awesome experience trying to battle through the waves and blend our strokes. We hulied once, but recovered quite quickly and stayed ahead of HKIPC who we were racing all the way. I got to watch our girls cross the finish line just ahead of Cronulla - they were practically doing a dragonboat sprint for the last 500m.

Before I went off to hamo i got my hair trimmed and asked for a layered fringe, but not short. only i forgot to say 'not short'. I came out of that shop hating my hair - she dried it so I looked like I was from 'Dallas', all big soft curls and short like a mature lady. HAHA! I wish i'd taken a pic! Anyhow this pic was taken on the Monday night at the crazy party with my sweatshop girls - Lady Babycakes and Red Ginger. As you can see - my fringe and I are now on good terms.

Day 2 - 16km race AM. It was SWEET, the sun was shining, the water was blue and my crew went well. Our kick ass steerer, Steph, who chooses the best lines right next to the rocks - and my girls Maureen, Kait, Mish and Helen brought us around the island and back to the finish line in 13th place out of 29, which is awesome, we were also the first out of our 3 PDs crews. After that we did a few 500m sprints but we were more focussed on happy hour cocktails.

Went down to the street party - it was ROCKIN'. There was a great live band called Bomba from Melbourne who were great. Met some of the other teams from around the world. It's amazing that there's a whole other lifestyle on teh other side of the world that might be similar to yours.

Day3 - 1000m sprints. We did some great heats with some awesome turns, but not good enough to get into finals unfortunately! Those Mooloolabaa chicks were MASSIVE. Then we sat around watching the tide come in and our new club canoe be blessed. Early night for the big race.

So i'm back from my Hamilton Island Cup trip. Rockin'! This is a pic of the girls heading out to do a sprints heat in Catseye Bay in Day 2. It was also the only day of really good weather - the rest of the days were shitty, but the paddling was MAD and the parties were B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!!

Day 1 - arrived in Hamo on the early flight all blearly eyed but excited. Hung out, rigged boats and went for a nice little paddle. Rigging takes forever. There's usually alot of standing around and waiting- now referred to as the PD pose. We had extruded bolognaise sauce from the plastic bag for dinner. Early night bunking with Miss Maria, Betty, and Belle and Gavin (papa smurf) of course I was the perfect annoying Cindy Brady of the family unit.

Today is Jason's birthday!
Happy Birthday Ah Beng!
Unfortunately my pics website is down, so you won't get to see the great picture of him 'bohchengkoh'! hehehe! On friday night we had a great surprise b'day for him involving all the things he loves the most - singing karaoke, making everyone listen to him singing karaoke, getting the chance to act gay with HT and Justin, singing more karaoke and making everyone watch him do his Alex To crotch poses, and i bet he even tried to do his ah beng version of 'coz i got high'. Some good things should never change! Don't go changing Jaysun! Hope you have a great day and lots of sucking ass from everyone! :)

Miniature Food Obsession Part 1.

When I was little I used to be fascinated by miniature things - I used to own a toy supermarket with miniature food stocks like pringles and mini cereal boxes which I think were made for Barbie sized dolls. I also used to collect erasers and my faves were the ones shaped like foods - icecreams and oreo cookies that pulled apart. I think I've always been obsessed about miniature stuff - and not because I'm a giant asian! I think it has to do with doll houses and the book The Borrowers! Anyhow I stumbled across this website that sells miniature japanese toy food http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/FY370 . This baking set is too cute and they have lots of other food ones including soft shell crabs! YUM!! Trust the japanese to come up with wacky stuff - they are the perfectionists at making plastic food look real. I'm officially obsessed all over again! Maybe when I have my own place I start a collection but for now I'm content with window shopping!
